Responsibilities
- Manage and secure complex government database systems and networks.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Implement and monitor data protection protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to design and deploy IT solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support to internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance and security incidents.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government or military IT environments.
- Strong proficiency in network security tools such as Firewalls, VPNs, and SIEM.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum) is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, urgent environment.
