Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues across all county departments.
- Manage and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN), ensuring high uptime.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/Linux) and office productivity software.
- Respond to and resolve incoming help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware and peripherals, including laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support or help desk roles.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware components, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with non-technical staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours and on-call rotation as required for system maintenance.
