Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and incidents within designated Jacksonville zones
- Conduct routine patrols to ensure public safety and deter criminal activity
- Collaborate with law enforcement and fire departments during multi-agency operations
- Document incident reports with precision and maintain digital records
- Provide community education on safety protocols and crime prevention
- Assist during natural disasters and public health emergencies
- Operate emergency vehicles and safety equipment per city protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Security Officer License (Class D) or willingness to obtain immediately
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in law enforcement, military, or security
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to complete within 30 days
- Pass background check and drug screening per city requirements
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and de-escalation techniques
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
