Responsibilities
- Lead Data Strategy: Design and implement complex data models to support high-level government decision-making processes.
- Drive Urgent Projects: Spearhead critical initiatives requiring immediate attention to ensure timely delivery of government services.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise narratives for senior stakeholders and policymakers.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all sensitive government data assets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Legal, and Policy teams to integrate data solutions seamlessly into existing infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the public sector or a large-scale organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Civil Service: Eligibility to work within the UK Civil Service (Security Clearance may be required).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
