Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments and security audits on federal networks and systems.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to cyber threats and incidents with minimal downtime.
- Develop and enforce security policies and compliance frameworks in accordance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Conduct penetration testing and security training for federal staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Manage and maintain documentation for security clearance and audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for Secret.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal government IT environments.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption standards.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (if applicable).
