The Role:
As a Senior Federal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of software development and system integration for Department of Defense (DoD) and civilian agency projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy secure software solutions for federal clients in compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Lead technical architecture reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing on critical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and technical roadmaps.
- Manage stakeholder communication regarding project status, risks, and deliverables.
- Ensure all code meets strict government security protocols and documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal contracting or software engineering.
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C# and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
