Responsibilities
- Lead System Design: Oversee the architecture and design of government IT systems to ensure scalability, security, and compliance with strict regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for government officials and internal teams, translating complex technical requirements into actionable solutions.
- Urgent Issue Resolution: Rapidly diagnose and resolve critical system failures and performance bottlenecks to maintain 99.9% uptime.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement modern agile methodologies to streamline operations.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all digital solutions adhere to the UK Data Protection Act and government security protocols (e.g., GDS standards).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Analysis within a high-stakes environment (Government, Finance, or Healthcare preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Java, Python, or Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) is essential.
- Security Clearance: Must be willing and able to obtain or hold a Security Check (SC) clearance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
