Responsibilities
- System Administration: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and security of critical state IT systems and databases.
- Project Management: Lead or contribute to high-priority IT projects, ensuring timelines and compliance with state regulations are met.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical guidance to internal government staff and external stakeholders.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all technical operations adhere to federal and state cybersecurity standards (FISMA).
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, including system architecture and standard operating procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and drive digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT systems analysis, network administration, or software development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Java, Python, or .NET. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Government Experience: Prior experience working within a state or federal government environment is a major plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, PMP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
