Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the integrity of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across all agency sites.
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and data.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime for critical operations.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with federal IT security standards and policies.
- Lead technical teams in the deployment of new software and hardware solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and end-users.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or a related IT role within the public sector.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or FISMA is highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (or higher) within a reasonable timeframe.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
