Job Overview
We are expanding our technical infrastructure to better serve the citizens of San Antonio. The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy professional capable of managing complex government systems and ensuring data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex state government network infrastructure and server environments.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard sensitive citizen data and government systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and external agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade hardware and software systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate IT logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to obtain a Texas State Employee background check and security clearance.
