Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of state-funded construction and infrastructure projects in the El Paso region.
- Ensure all projects comply with state safety standards, environmental regulations, and budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate with local government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and timelines.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, budget forecasts, and risk assessments for senior state officials.
- Manage a team of engineers and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project status and quality control.
- Resolve complex logistical and administrative issues that may impact project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management within the government or public sector.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel within Texas and the New York region as required.
- Strong knowledge of state procurement processes, OSHA regulations, and federal guidelines.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale budgets and diverse teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to government officials.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and security clearance.
