Role Overview:
The IT Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance, support, and implementation of critical state information systems. You will work in a collaborative environment to ensure our digital infrastructure meets the highest standards of security and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Provide advanced technical support to state agency staff regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
- Ensure compliance with state security protocols and data privacy regulations.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technology solutions.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of system changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Server environments.
- Familiarity with state government IT standards and security compliance is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Valid Driver's License required for travel to various state facilities.
