Responsibilities
- Manage and administer state pension plans in compliance with NY regulations
- Process retirement applications and calculate benefit distributions
- Conduct compliance audits and ensure adherence to federal/state laws
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements
- Provide expert guidance to retirees and current employees
- Analyze pension fund data and prepare financial reports
- Collaborate with legal and financial teams on regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years pension administration experience
- Deep knowledge of NY State pension regulations (ERS, TRS)
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., PeopleSoft)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- CPA or CFA designation preferred
