Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using quantitative/qualitative methodologies
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and actionable recommendations for senior leadership
- Coordinate cross-agency task forces to address emerging public health challenges
- Conduct stakeholder outreach with community organizations, industry groups, and legislative bodies
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements and implement procedural updates
- Lead data visualization projects to communicate policy outcomes to diverse audiences
- Manage grant-funded initiatives supporting underserved communities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong knowledge of Illinois legislative processes and administrative codes
- Superior written/verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines
- Valid Illinois driver's license (may require travel to state facilities)
