We are looking for a highly skilled Pension Plan Administrator to join our Federal division in Denver, CO. This is an urgent opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee the administration of complex federal pension plans and ensure the financial security of our members.
In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for benefit inquiries, ensuring full compliance with federal regulations while maintaining exceptional member service standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily administration of federal pension plans, including calculations, distributions, and benefit verifications.
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and federal pension statutes.
- Process enrollment forms, contribution records, and retirement applications accurately and timely.
- Conduct internal audits of pension records to identify discrepancies and mitigate risk.
- Provide expert guidance and support to retirees, beneficiaries, and agency HR representatives regarding pension questions.
- Prepare and file required regulatory reporting and documentation to state and federal authorities.
- Maintain accurate member data within HRIS systems and database platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Masterās degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pension administration, human resources, or retirement plan management.
- Strong working knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS/CSRS) and government benefits is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRIS software (e.g., Ceridian, ADP, Workday), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines and apply them to daily operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-technical audiences.
