Responsibilities
- Customer Assistance: Provide exceptional service to citizens and government officials via phone and in-person inquiries regarding government programs and procedures.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential records, files, and databases in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Administrative Support: Prepare, compile, and distribute correspondence, reports, and memos to ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to strict government policies, safety protocols, and ethical standards.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex issues or complaints regarding public services efficiently and professionally.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiency and suggest improvements to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or a government-related environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Reliability: Demonstrated ability to work a structured schedule and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced government setting.
- Integrity: Strong ethical judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
