Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including parks, sidewalks, and public buildings
- Operate specialized equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., trucks, power tools, landscaping machinery)
- Respond promptly to public service requests and emergency maintenance calls
- Conduct inspections and document facility conditions for compliance reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
- Minimum 2 years of municipal maintenance or public works experience
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Certification in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and basic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
