Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, roads, and parks
- Operate heavy machinery (dump trucks, graders, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency public works incidents within 2-hour SLA
- Conduct daily site inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Manage inventory of equipment and materials for assigned zones
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of municipal/public works experience
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with GIS mapping software
- Successful background check and drug screening
- Spanish bilingual preferred
