Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail along assigned city routes on foot and/or vehicle
- Sort, distribute, and prepare mail for daily delivery operations
- Interact professionally with customers to resolve delivery inquiries
- Operate mail delivery vehicles following USPS safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required paperwork
- Adhere to strict delivery time standards and route efficiency metrics
- Perform light manual handling of packages weighing up to 70 lbs
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status required
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to walk 8+ hours daily in varying weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and tracking systems
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
- Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays
