Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses along assigned routes
- Sort and organize mail efficiently using automated and manual systems
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and adhere to traffic regulations
- Collect outgoing mail from designated collection boxes
- Report delivery issues, damaged mail, and safety hazards promptly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and special handling requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to walk up to 6 miles daily in various weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and tracking systems
- Reliable transportation to and from the post office
