Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and parcels to residential and business customers along an assigned route.
- Sort and organize mail and packages prior to delivery to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Safely operate a USPS vehicle (or walk) while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and handle incoming mail and packages.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness to handle lifting requirements (up to 70 lbs) and walking for extended periods.
- Keep vehicle or delivery truck clean and organized.
- Collect and process incoming mail, including postage payments and certified mail.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license (CDL preferred but not always required).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and a pre-employment physical.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
