Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes
- Sort and organize mail according to delivery sequences and postal regulations
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and maintain accurate delivery records
- Collect outgoing mail and parcels from customers along the route
- Operate postal equipment including scanners and automated sorting machines
- Assist in retail counter duties when required at the Fort Wayne branch
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry mail sacks weighing 35+ pounds
- Pass background check, medical examination, and drug screening
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (6+ hours daily)
