Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail/packages along assigned routes using provided USPS vehicles or on foot
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required paperwork daily
- Safely operate USPS vehicles following all traffic and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service when handling inquiries and special deliveries
- Sort, organize, and prepare mail for efficient route distribution
- Adhere to strict security protocols for handling sensitive materials
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for vehicle operation)
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for digital tracking systems
