Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along designated routes
- Sort and organize mail efficiently according to USPS standards and delivery sequences
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and maintain accurate delivery records
- Provide exceptional customer service during mail interactions and resolve delivery inquiries
- Operate USPS technology including handheld scanners and route management systems
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and equipment per postal regulations
- Adhere to strict delivery timeframes and safety protocols
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status (required for federal employment)
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift mail trays weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly
- Strong time management skills for daily route completion
- Basic computer literacy for USPS technology systems
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
