Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize electronic health record systems (EHR) for 50,000+ veteran patients
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments and incident response
- Coordinate HIPAA-compliant data migrations across departmental platforms
- Develop and implement automated workflows using VA-approved tools
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for clinical and administrative staff
- Collaborate with VA leadership on technology modernization roadmaps
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (GS-2210 series)
- 3+ years of experience with VA VistA or EHR systems
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and SQL for automation
- Experience with FedRAMP moderate compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional IT projects
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
