Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain electronic health record systems (EHR) in compliance with VA regulations
- Provide technical support for healthcare IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and specialized medical devices
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize technology solutions for veteran care delivery
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards and HIPAA regulations
- Document system configurations and troubleshoot technical issues affecting veteran services
- Train staff on new IT systems and software updates
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare IT systems implementation
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (VistA experience preferred)
- Knowledge of federal IT security protocols (NIST, FISMA)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced federal environment with immediate start requirements
