Responsibilities
- Adjudicate veterans' disability compensation and pension claims according to federal regulations
- Conduct comprehensive benefit interviews with veterans and their families
- Analyze medical evidence and service records to establish service-connection for disabilities
- Provide expert guidance on VA benefits programs including education, home loans, and healthcare
- Maintain accurate case documentation in VA's electronic processing system
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal staff to resolve complex cases
- Ensure compliance with all federal statutes and VA policies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service or case management
- Proficiency in interpreting federal regulations and legal documents
- Strong analytical skills for medical evidence review
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and empathy
- Experience with electronic claims processing systems preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field
- Clear background investigation and drug screening required
