Responsibilities
- Monitor and control complex water treatment processes, including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
- Dosage chemical treatment to ensure water quality standards meet EPA and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate operational logs, safety records, and inventory management reports.
- Respond immediately to operational alarms and assist in emergency troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with senior operators and engineering staff to implement process improvements.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and facility housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Water Technology or related field is preferred.
- Valid Wisconsin Class A or B Water Operator License is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with water treatment systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
