Responsibilities
- Maintain secure facility operations during weekend shifts including inmate supervision and perimeter control
- Conduct regular patrols, headcounts, and facility inspections to prevent contraband and safety hazards
- Respond to emergencies, altercations, and medical incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate inmate records
- Coordinate with weekend medical, legal, and supervisory staff for seamless operations
- Implement rehabilitation programs and educational activities during weekend hours
- Transport inmates to court appointments and medical facilities as scheduled
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with minimum 21 years of age
- Valid Washington State driver's license and clean criminal background
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun) with flexible weekday availability
- Completion of POST-certified correctional officer training or equivalent
- CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
- Physical fitness certification passing agility and strength assessments
- Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Somali, or Vietnamese preferred
