Responsibilities
- Monitor and oversee city infrastructure systems, including utilities and public safety alerts, during weekend shifts.
- Respond to emergency service calls and coordinate with Miami-Dade Police and Fire departments as needed.
- Manage incoming public inquiries regarding city services, permits, and regulations via phone and email.
- Ensure all weekend operations adhere to local, state, and federal government regulations and protocols.
- Prepare detailed reports on weekend incidents, service requests, and operational status for the Monday management review.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the operations center and emergency response equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service, emergency services, or government operations role.
- Schedule: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays on a rotating shift schedule.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations professionally.
- Technical: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with government database systems.
- Attributes: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make quick decisions under pressure.
