Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas during weekend shifts to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents requiring law enforcement presence
- Document activities and incidents using standardized reporting protocols
- Collaborate with city departments, county agencies, and community organizations
- Conduct security checks at municipal facilities during weekend operations
- Provide assistance to residents and visitors requiring public safety support
- Participate in continuous training to maintain certification and operational readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in criminal justice preferred
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 1 year experience in law enforcement or public safety role
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with diverse community members
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Successful completion of background investigation and physical agility test
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
