Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned city areas during weekend shifts to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and public disturbances
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities, parks, and waterfront areas
- Enforce city ordinances and state laws with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Document incidents, prepare detailed reports, and maintain digital evidence logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Provide public assistance and emergency response coordination
- Participate in ongoing public safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Basic POST certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure weekend environments
- Strong conflict resolution skills and de-escalation techniques
- Proficiency in digital reporting systems and mobile data terminals
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
