Responsibilities
- Coordinate weekend public service operations including waste management, park maintenance, and emergency response support
- Manage citizen inquiries and service requests via phone, email, and in-person weekend office hours
- Conduct field inspections of municipal facilities and public spaces to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with weekend emergency services and community organizations for coordinated service delivery
- Prepare weekly operational reports highlighting weekend service performance and improvement opportunities
- Facilitate weekend community outreach events and public awareness campaigns
- Maintain accurate documentation of weekend service activities and resource allocation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; associate's degree in public administration preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, public sector, or field coordination roles
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday) with occasional holiday coverage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and municipal service management software
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact effectively with diverse community members
- Basic knowledge of New Orleans geography and municipal service areas
