Responsibilities
- Process and manage incoming government records requests with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Perform comprehensive data entry and document management for the Los Angeles County archives.
- Maintain strict adherence to security protocols and government compliance regulations regarding data privacy.
- Assist internal staff and the public with inquiries regarding weekend operational procedures and document retrieval.
- Operate complex computerized filing systems, scanning equipment, and database software.
- Ensure the proper classification, indexing, and retention of sensitive government documents.
- Collaborate with the weekday team to ensure seamless handover of records and administrative duties.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Records Management or Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, records management, or government operations.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government record management software (e.g., TRIM, iManage).
- Strong typing skills with a minimum speed of 40 WPM.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening as required by government standards.
