Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol government premises to prevent security breaches
- Screen visitors and enforce access control procedures at entry points
- Respond to emergency situations per established protocols and coordinate with law enforcement
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs
- Conduct regular equipment checks and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with weekend operations team for seamless coverage
- Enforce safety regulations for staff and visitors during weekend hours
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Security Guard License (OR ability to obtain within 30 days)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Proficiency with surveillance systems and access control technology
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
- Clear background check and drug-free certification required
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
