Responsibilities
- Conduct weekend inspections of bridges, tunnels, and roadways across NYC boroughs
- Document infrastructure conditions using digital reporting tools and photographic evidence
- Collaborate with emergency response teams during weekend incidents or extreme weather events
- Prepare detailed technical reports highlighting safety concerns and maintenance needs
- Monitor construction zones and contractor compliance during weekend operations
- Participate in weekend drills for disaster response and infrastructure recovery protocols
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
- Minimum 3 years of civil engineering or infrastructure inspection experience
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
- Ability to work flexible weekends (Friday-Sunday) with rotating holidays
- Proficiency with CAD software and mobile inspection applications
- Valid Class NY Driver's License with clean record
- Pass federal background check and DOT medical certification
