Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain server health and uptime for NY State tax systems during weekend shifts.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates to ensure data protection.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to internal staff and resolve complex software issues remotely.
- Conduct data integrity checks and report system anomalies immediately to the IT Shift Lead.
- Collaborate with the on-call support team to escalate critical incidents effectively.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate logs for all system activities.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems administration or technical support.
- Mandatory availability to work Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols.
- NYS residency is required for this position.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and security clearance.
