Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors to identify prohibited items
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections per TSA protocols
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Maintain constant vigilance and report suspicious activities to supervisors
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate operational records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security breaches
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Basic computer proficiency for security systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successfully complete TSA Security Training Academy
