Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, climate AI)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping breakthrough solutions for 2026 market readiness
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ global innovation ecosystems
- Forge strategic partnerships with NASA, MIT Media Lab, and World Economic Forum
- Present future scenarios to C-suite executives and board of directors
- Drive ethics-by-design frameworks for autonomous systems
- Manage $2M+ R&D portfolio with quarterly ROI impact assessments
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation or futures research with Fortune 500 experience
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Nature Futures)
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and systemic risk modeling
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Complexity Science, or related field
- Track record of commercializing at least three emerging technologies
- Proficiency in Python, R, and simulation modeling tools
- Security clearance or ability to obtain Tier 3 federal clearance
