Responsibilities
- Forecast and analyze emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptions through 2026 horizon scanning
- Develop strategic roadmaps for product innovation and market expansion aligned with future trends
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to identify opportunities and mitigate risks in evolving ecosystems
- Partner with R&D and product teams to incubate next-generation solutions
- Present foresight insights to executive stakeholders and boards to influence strategic decisions
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
- Author thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynotes) positioning FutureWorks as a future authority
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, innovation management, or futures research with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products or market entries
- Expertise in horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for executive audiences
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategy, MBA, or related field required
- Portfolio of published foresight work or innovation frameworks
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations
