Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology vision aligned with 2026 market projections
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping emerging solutions (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech integration)
- Conduct horizon-scanning research across 15+ emerging tech domains
- Develop patent-pending innovation frameworks for future-proofing organizational capabilities
- Present strategic roadmaps to executive board and investor stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ R&D budget for experimental technology incubation
- Publish quarterly industry forecasts in top-tier tech publications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 exposure
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published author on exponential technologies (3+ peer-reviewed papers)
- Proven track record of scaling experimental technologies to enterprise level
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology impact assessment methodologies
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python/Java preferred)
