Responsibilities
- Architect the 2026 product roadmap by integrating quantum computing, biotech convergence, and climate tech breakthroughs
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Center
- Analyze emerging tech disruptions (Web4.0, sentient AI, space economy) to identify market opportunities
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and investors with data-backed future-state projections
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions (UT Austin, MIT Media Lab) for R&D initiatives
- Mentor futurists in our 'Tomorrow's Leaders' development program
- Report quarterly to the Global Strategy Council on progress against 2026 milestones
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech roles with proven impact on future-oriented initiatives
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, neuromorphic, fusion energy)
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent foresight methodology
- Published thought leadership on 2025-2030 technological trends
- Experience leading $50M+ R&D budgets across distributed teams
- Strong network with DARPA, NASA, or global innovation councils
- PhD in Systems Engineering, Computational Physics, or related field preferred
- Fluency in strategic scenario planning tools (STEEP, Delphi Method)
