Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned border areas to detect and prevent illegal entry of persons and contraband
- Conduct surveillance operations using advanced technology and tactical equipment
- Apprehend individuals violating immigration and customs laws
- Collect and process evidence for criminal investigations
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Respond to emergency situations requiring tactical intervention
- Maintain detailed case reports and documentation
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Valid driver's license
- Pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Complete 6-month training academy at Artesia, NM
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Physical fitness to meet CBP standards (push-ups, sit-ups, run)
- Spanish language proficiency (oral and written)
- Willingness to work irregular hours and outdoor conditions
