Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned border areas to detect and prevent illegal entry of persons and contraband
- Apprehend individuals violating immigration and customs laws
- Conduct interviews and investigations to gather intelligence
- Operate specialized surveillance equipment and patrol vehicles
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain case documentation
- Respond to emergency situations and conduct search/rescue operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Physical fitness to meet rigorous operational requirements
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and remote terrain
- Basic computer proficiency and documentation skills
- Ability to speak Spanish (preferred but not required)
