Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls via 911 and landlines.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel to incidents based on location and unit availability.
- Monitor radio traffic and maintain accurate logs of all activities and unit status.
- Provide critical information to responding officers and coordinate scene management.
- Utilize Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems to input data and update case status.
- Maintain a professional demeanor during high-stress situations and ensure effective communication.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain focus in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Background check and medical examination required.
