Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain official City Council meeting agendas, minutes, and resolutions
- Manage public records requests ensuring compliance with Texas Public Information Act
- Oversee municipal elections administration and voter registration processes
- Coordinate document certification and notarization for official city actions
- Maintain ordinance codification and legislative tracking systems
- Supervise records management and document retention policies
- Serve as clerk for local boards and commissions as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or records management experience
- Texas Certified Municipal Clerk (TCMC) designation preferred
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Expert knowledge of Texas Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act
- Exceptional written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Valid Texas driver's license
