Responsibilities
- Safeguard and maintain all official municipal records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and official documents for City Council meetings
- Administer oaths of office and public notary services for city officials
- Ensure compliance with Florida Sunshine Law and public records regulations
- Manage records retention and destruction programs in accordance with state guidelines
- Coordinate municipal elections and voter registration initiatives
- Oversee business licensing and permitting processes
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens and city government
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Florida public records laws and municipal regulations
- Proficiency in records management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost discretion
- Valid Florida driver's license
