Responsibilities
- Maintain and preserve official city records, ordinances, minutes, and public documents
- Prepare agendas and support materials for City Council meetings and public hearings
- Administer oaths of office and manage record retention programs
- Respond to public records requests ensuring compliance with state regulations
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Coordinate with city departments to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping
- Serve as the primary liaison between citizens and city government
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in municipal government or records management
- Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of Texas open records laws and municipal procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Texas Notary Public certification preferred
