Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and certify official city records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open meeting laws
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Coordinate city council agendas, minutes, and public notices
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seals
- Manage document retention and destruction policies
- Provide administrative support to city council meetings
Qualifications
- 5+ years in municipal government or public administration
- Proven record management and document certification experience
- In-depth knowledge of Nevada public records laws and election procedures
- Advanced proficiency in municipal software (e.g., Tyler Munis, DocuWare)
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance for legal documents
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field
- Notary Public certification required
