Responsibilities
- Oversee all city records management, ensuring compliance with legal standards and public records requests
- Manage city council meetings, agendas, and legislative documentation with precision
- Develop and implement digital records systems to enhance accessibility and efficiency
- Administer municipal elections and voter education programs
- Advise city officials on legislative procedures and compliance requirements
- Lead public records training for staff and department heads
- Coordinate civic ceremonies and official city documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years municipal government experience with records management
- California Municipal Clerk certification or equivalent credentials
- Expertise in public records laws (CPRA, GOVT Code)
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Proven leadership in digital transformation initiatives
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Experience managing election processes and voter outreach
